Are you part of a group dental insurance? You probably have no idea if you are or not. Well if you have dental insurance through the company that you work for then there is a good chance that you do have group dental insurance.

In all honesty do you really care if you are in a group dental insurance plan or just a dental insurance plan? For some of us the thing that we want to know is just if we have dental coverage to take care of what we need done to our teeth.

Honestly the only way that you are going to find the answer to that is by talking to the human resource personnel at your place of employment or call the insurance company to get your questions answered for you. The one problem that some of you out here do not like the idea of is that you have to sit on the phone and hit this number after that number just to try to get to a person that may be able to answer your question.

When you have group dental insurance you have the ability to go and get your yearly cleaning and check up done plus if you would need to have cavities fill or oral surgery more than likely you are going to be covered.

About the only thing that you may have to pay is a small co-payment to have any of the procedures completed. If you think about it that is a real good idea because who would want to pay to have all the dental exams and the procedures that your dentist would do out of your own pocket. I bet that you really don’t want to pay out that kind of money to a dentist.

One other way to have group dental insurance is if you are self employed and decide to cover your family the insurance agent that you talk to may suggest that you do through a group dental insurance so that you can get the discounted rate for your family.

But who knows how they would do the paperwork so that the self-employed people do not forget to cover their family and let their teeth go down hills from the lack of dental health coverage. More than likely as long as they cover more than one person in the policy they too would have a group dental insurance
